I Have Seen The Enemy And It Is Us.

I have seen the enemy and it is us. For years we have invaded, occupied and interfered in sovereign nations thousands of miles from us. We have directly and indirectly caused the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people, created chaos and instability, paved the way for terrorism to prosper and propped up oppressive dictators.

I believe true patriotism is defined by our belief in human rights, justice, democracy and most importantly self determination; the right of others to live life as they see fit, not as we tell them too. Patriotism is not blindly standing behind our government as they engage in needless, unwarranted, immoral and illegal acts of aggression and armed conflict that could lead to unimaginable death and destruction.

A word to the men and women of our armed forces and those thinking of enlisting. There are currently 100,000 U.S. troops in the Middle East. You are a volunteer force. You do not have to participate in Trump’s lethal insanity, to risk your life for his deranged madness. That is not being a patriot. You do have a choice.

If we the people do not say hell no we won’t go, who are we and what do we stand for. I will not support this corrupt governments threats, bullying and the slaughter of people overseas who are no threat to this nation.
